The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is offering Postgraduate programme (PG) i.e. Master of Engineering M.E (EXTC) affiliated to University of Mumbai since 2017 with an approved intake of 24 by AICTE.
The admission process for the above mentioned PG Course is followed as per the rules, regulations and guidelines provided by Department of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State.All the B.E. / B.Tech. Candidates in Electronics and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with valid GATE score are eligible for admission to PG Course. Experienced Candidates with sponsorships from their parent institutions are also eligible to apply for admission against their allotted quota as per DTE and Mumbai University Norms.
The M.E. Course is 2 year full time programme. Some of the major subjects covered in 1st year includes Statistical Signal Processing, Optical Communication Networks, Modern Digital Signal Processing Applications, Next generation Networks, Management Information Systems, Embedded Communication Systems Design, Modern Adhoc and Sensor Networks, Modern Digital Communication, RF and Microwave Engineering, Network and Cyber Security, Satellite Networking etc.
The 2nd year is entirely dedicated for Project Work. The Project work is expected to have maximum research value to its credit with the expectation of publication of research papers in National and International Journals of repute by PG students. The PG Programme is aimed at preparing students with sound theoretical and experimental knowledge with a great acumen for doing research work in the specified areas of their specialization.
The Electronics and Telecommunication Department is fully equipped with a dedicated Faculty Members and required infrastructure like dedicated R&D Laboratory for research work by PG Students.Key Features of EXTC Department :
