Computer Engineering

The Department of Computer Engg. was formed with the primary objective of providing quality education in the field of Computer & Information Technology, while addressing the problems of present & future. Established in 1991 with just 25 computers, now Computer Department has spread the wings with the powerful dual xeon server & more than 150 hi-tech computers. The Dept. which is headed by Dr. Mahavir Devmane , offers excellent academic environment with a team of well qualified faculty members. Most of them have completed M.E. with First class. Some of the staff members are pursuing Ph.D in the recent technologies. Lab assistants inspire the students to develop their technical skills and inculcate the spirit of team work in them. The staff members motivate the students in achieving their goals. They not only participate in academic activities but also show a keen interest in cultural activities, sports, various training programs, conferences etc.

The strength of the dept. lies in the highly motivated students who understand the dynamics of the industry and hone their skills accordingly. Various seminars and Technical programs like workshop on latest subjects, trainings, technical festivals etc. are conducted to allow the students to broaden their interest in the related disciplines. Various expert lectures, industrial visits are also arranged for the students.

The Dept. has Departmental library for the students & faculty having reference as well as text books. The library also contains different reference project as well as seminar reports. The projector & laptop facility is provided for the effective teaching.

The Dept. endeavors to produce confident professionals tuned to real time working environment as a result of which many of our students are placed in various reputed industries with a very good salary package. Many students are studying abroad for pursuing higher qualification from the reputed institutions.

• Standard Peripherals: Printers, Scanners, DVD Drives, DVD writers.

• Application Softwares: MS Visual Studio 8.0, MS-Office-2003, MS-Office 2007 Rational Rose, SQL Server-2005, Turbo C,C++, Java, etc.
