About Us

Department of Computer Engineering

The Computer Engineering Department is intended to train the students in advanced areas of core courses and specialized areas in Computer Engineering. The Department, headed by Dr. Rais A. Mulla, offers an excellent academic environment with a team of well qualified and dedicated faculty members. Each faculty has completed M.E. / M. Tech with Distinction / First Class. Also some faculty members are pursuing Ph.D in recent technologies.

To provide a valuable channel between technology applications, research and real world scenarios, the Computer Department is associated with three renowned industries 9LedgePro, Blocklogy and Ekeeda Pvt. Ltd.

The Lab assistants inspire the students to develop their technical skills and inculcate the spirit of team work among them. The staff members motivate the students in achieving their career goals. The students not only participate in Academic activities but also show a keen interest in cultural activities, sports, various training programs, workshops, Conferences etc.

The strength of the department lies in the highly motivated students who understand the dynamics of the industry and hone their skills accordingly. The curriculum is aimed at giving a strong theoretical foundation and hands-on exposure in Advanced Operating Systems, Soft computing, Big Data & Analytics, Data science, Distributed Computing and Image Processing. Various seminars and technical programs like workshops on latest subjects, training, state level technical festivals etc. are conducted to hepl the students to broaden their interest in the related disciplines. Various expert lectures, webinars, industrial visits, and national level quiz competitions are also arranged for the students to empower them to gain in-depth knowledge. The department endeavors to produce confident professionals tuned to real time working environments as a result of which many of our students are placed in various reputed industries with a very good salary package. Many students are studying abroad to pursue higher qualifications from reputed universities.

Students are thoroughly trained from the placement perspective that helps them secure jobs and thriving careers. Members of the faculty are encouraged and motivated to undertake technology studies so that the teaching and learning process become informative and educative benefitting the students.

After 3 to 4 years of graduation, the graduates will be :

To create graduates with sound fundamental knowledge of computer engineering.

To enhance students' skills towards emerging technologies to propose solutions for engineering problems and entrepreneurial pursuits, making them employable.

To produce technology professionals with ethical values and commitment to lifelong learning.

The graduates of this program will be able to :


PO1 Engineering knowledge	Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2 Problem analysis	Identity, formulate complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using principles of Computer Engineering.
PO3 Design/development of solutions	Design / develop solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the society.
PO4 Conduct investigations of complex problems	Use knowledge for the design of experiments, analysis, interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5 Modern tool usage	Create, select and apply appropriate techniques and modern engineering tools, including predictions and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6 The engineer and society	Apply the knowledge to assess social issues and the responsibilities relevant to engineering practices.
PO7 Environment and Sustainability	Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in social and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge for sustainable development.

Graduates of programme will be able to provide effective and efficient real time solutions using practical knowledge in Computer Engineering domain.
