Department of Humanities and Basic Sciences

The Humanities and Basic Sciences department is the foundation for all branches of Engineering. It focuses on imparting basic knowledge in a manner that prepares the students to contribute effectively, intellectually and ethically as future citizens of the Engineering community to serve the society and the main focus is on curricular, co curricular and social activities as well.

To imbibe moral and ethical foundation

To enhance new entrants with the skill sets for better employability.

To inculcate spirit of professionalism, teamwork, innovative research and entrepreneurship among the students.

The graduates of this program will be able to :

Engineering knowledge
Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering
specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Problem analysis
Identity, formulate complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using principles of Computer Engineering.
Design / develop solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the society.

Conduct investigations of complex problems
Use knowledge for the design of experiments, analysis, interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

Modern tool usage
Create, select and apply appropriate techniques and modern engineering tools, including predictions and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

The engineer and society
Apply the knowledge to assess social issues and the responsibilities relevant to engineering practices.

Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in social and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge for sustainable development.

Graduates of programme will be able to provide effective and efficient real time solutions using practical knowledge in Computer Engineering domain.
